If there are multiple matches between a single device and a single vehicle within 100m, spanning at least 500m, over a period of time, we consider a rider to have been on the vehicle in question.

For every rider we detect on a vehicle, we use proprietary algorithms to estimate a point of entry and exit to the vehicle. These boarding and alighting stops are recorded, and we evaluate other position data surrounding the trip to determine a origin point and a destination point for the ride.

Traveler data is populated by these origins, destinations, stops, and trips. With our rider's privacy in mind, a minimum number of riders must be detected in an area for it to be displayed in Traveler and no personal data is stored.
